2008 Muscat Ottonel (a Limited Bottling)

About Muscat Ottonel: One of the classic wine varieties of Alsace, lovely little Muscat Ottonel is a “shy bearer”, so sensitive to weather conditions during bloom that some years we don’t get any grapes at all (like 2005 and 2006). A bone-dry white wine with delicate floral aromas, fun to match with a variety of foods, from Alsatian to Asian. (Edwin Soon, in his new book, Pairing Wine With Asian Foods, recommends dry Muscat with hot chiles.) A refreshing aperitif, too. VERY limited production.
